The Northwestern University Scientist Training Program in Kidney Diseases (NUKIDs) is a T32 NIH-funded training program starting in 2016. Through this program, the FCVRI offers post-doc and fellows training opportunities. The primary goal of the NUKIDs training program is to produce rigorously trained and innovative MD/PhD, MD and PhD investigators who will successfully launch their own independent funded research and academic programs in the area of kidney research. To ensure success of this goal in today’s changing scientific environment, the program will provide a sound foundation in research methods, design and execution and guidance on how to collaborate and draw in expertise from a variety of sources. Twenty-three NIH-funded mentors are available to trainees who bridge multiple scientific disciplines. For more information about opportunities, please contact Kari LeBeau.
